Download BatteryPill.exe from the button above
Windows will likely show "Windows protected your PC" — that's SmartScreen reacting to an unsigned exe, not a virus verdict. BatteryPill is a free open source tool, and code-signing certificates cost hundreds of dollars a year. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Double-click to run. The pill appears on your desktop.
Drag it anywhere — fling it and it glides. Click it to switch time / percent. Right-click for settings.

Want it there after every reboot? Turn on "Start with Windows" in Settings.
Done with it? Exit from the tray icon, then delete the exe and the small .config.json next to it — that's the whole uninstall.
Heads-up: on PCs with Smart App Control enabled, Windows blocks unsigned apps outright (no "Run anyway"). We're honest about that too — code signing is on the roadmap.
